Can I Donate?

If your diabetes is well controlled, you can donate. Both Type 1 and Type 2 donors are welcome as long as you're feeling healthy.
If it was done at a state-regulated shop with sterile needles, yes, you can donate. No waiting period required in Oklahoma.
Wait until you're symptom-free and finished your course of antibiotics. Once you feel better, you're good to go.
You need to be at least 16 with parental consent. If you're 17 or older, you can donate on your own. Bring a valid photo ID.
Every 56 days for whole blood donations. That's about 6 times per year — plenty of chances to earn those gift cards.

Counts Toward Service Hours

Pre-health students: Blood donation counts toward C.O.R.D. community service hours.
