What to Expect as a Student Donor

Most OSU campus blood drives take about 45 minutes from start to finish. Here's what the process looks like:

Check-in: Present your photo ID and complete a brief health questionnaire.
Mini physical: Staff will check your blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and hemoglobin level.
Donation: The actual blood draw takes 8–10 minutes for whole blood.
Recovery: Spend 10–15 minutes in the refreshment area with snacks and drinks provided by OBI.
